The San Diego Latino Film Festival, started out as a student film festival and continues to assist independent filmmakers to reach their goals a priority. The festival is proud to announce REEL TALKS workshops and panels for local independent filmmakers interested in gaining first-hand experience in art of film and video production from top professionals.

NICKELODEON REEL TALK
Saturday, March 8
10 AM - 12:30 PM
Nickelodeon executives will be on hand for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Learn how to write for Nickelodeon, find out how to pitch an idea, and discover how to create an original idea. Teen Producers, local and visiting filmmakers, local and visiting screenwriters and YOU are encouraged to attend.
LATINO PUBLIC BROADCASTING REEL TALK

Latino Public Broadcasting continues its partnership with the festival by spotlighting a behind-the-scenes look at the process and production of the documentary, CALAVERA HIGHWAY. Join Luis Ortiz - Managing Director of Latino Public Broadcasting along wwith filmmakers Renee Tajima-Pena 9ReNew Media - Media Arts Fellow) and Vangie Griego (past Cine Estudiantil participant) as they discuss story boards, financing and distributing documentaries.
