End of Year Appeal

Dear Supporter,

You have helped us build our youth programs this year. We have had an exciting year and you have been here with us as we grew in 2010. New staff joined the team and a new community welcomed us to the neighborhood. These changes have happened because you continue to support our mission.

The support that we have received this year has been overwhelming. Thank you for being a part of the reason why Media Arts Center San Diego continues to provide growing programming to the youth of San Diego County and Tijuana.

Please watch our video to see how your support of the Media Arts Center San Diego is making a difference.

Thank you for your continued support,

Ethan van Thillo

About Media Arts Center San Diego

MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO promotes access to film and video as tools for community self-expression and social change and supports the professional development of media artists.

Our Programs

Teen Producers Project

For over 10 years, the Teen Producers Project has helped youth across San Diego County and Tijuana create documentaries about their community. Beyond film production, teens build skills in leadership, develop higher self-esteem, learn how to be active citizen in their community and learn the value of education beyond high school. Top Teen Producers Project students earn scholarships to use to continue their education at a higher education institution.

Youth Media Lab

One of our newest programs. These days 4th through 9th graders are more tech savy than ever! To help students jump in the game, these camps are an overview of the latest and greatest technology. In these week long camps, student learn video production, stop-motion animation and web design to make creative projects that combine art and technology.

DIY Digital Gym

A new concept of Digital Media Education came with our new location. Deemed a digital gym, the Media Arts Center is now offering daily workshops open to anyone who wants to learn more about different facets of technology.
