The People's Post

Beginning in 2009, The People's Post project was born to bring back local voices to local news. With funding from the Knight Foundation, San Diego Foundation, and in partnership with VoiceofSanDiego.org and the San Diego County Library, Media Arts Center San Diego began creating 2-3 minute digital stories about San Diegans telling their personal experiences with news topics.

Over the course of a year students from all around San Diego County, learned to create the videos, documenting people in their communities who are doing great things. In  total, the students created 16 videos highlighting the leaders in their community.

Participating High Schools included: Orange Glen High School, Lincoln High School, Kearny Mesa High School, Madison High School and Morse High School.
