In the Barrio Logan community, the Teen Producers Project hepled create 7 powerful and unique documentaries. These documentaries highlighted different issues that affect the Barrio Logan community which varied from affordable housing, community identity, and even health issues.

 

"A Common Future"

 

This video shows how both the Latinos and African Americans of Barrio Logan share the same idea for a common future, the building of the Calvary Baptist Church, and the the founding of the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence Charter School.

 

"Creative Visions"

 

Artists and performers share their views on the community and how their everday lives in the commuity impact their work.

 

"Fighting To Breathe"

 

Residents and professionals talk about the rising healh problems due to pollution coming from local industrial businesses, and what is being done to stop it.

 

"Remembering Our Past"

 

Former residents of Barrio Logan connect the history of the community to present day.

 

"Staying in the Barrio"

 

Residents and developers explain the rising rents in Barrio Logan.

 

"To Reach My Goals"

 

Administrators and students speak out about education.

 

"Unity, Community, & Organizing"

 

Members of the Barrio Logan and Sherman communities work together to deal with important issues that affect the whole community.

 

"Working for a Living Wage"

 

Residents of Barrio Logan face multiple obstacles that make it hard to find steady employment.

 

Teens met leaders various industries of the Barrio Logan community. They  learned what it takes to be a leader and more about the particular issues occuring in their neighborhood.
