Personal Training

Looking to learn Final Cut Pro, brush up on your video editing skills or build your media literacy?  We offer one-on-one personal training in most areas of audio, visual and fabrication media development.  Cost varies depending upon your specific needs, including the level of the training (beginner to expert), the length of sessions (one-shot to weekly meetings), and the availability of personal trainers.  If you have a specific focus you would like to discuss, contact us to set up an appointment to talk with our staff.

Group Workshops

In San Diego, we have on-going workshops and events at our North Park storefront.  Check out the current calendar of events and drop by to learn more.

Specialized media workshops are available for any organization or group.  We have a successful history of youth and adult programming.  MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO has held workshops around the world at libraries, conventions, organizational headquarters and schools throughout the US and Mexico.

For example, here are some ideas: *

  • Digital Storytelling - On-Site Technical Training & Equipment Set-up - $2,200

Great way to train your educators or the individuals who are responsible for the execution of the project

Includes 2 Trainers (and their travel & hotel within the State of California) one day to set up and test equipment & full day (8 hour) training (4 – 8 people)

  • Digital Story Gathering Event - $6,000

Have Media Arts kick start your program and have one or two key people monitor the day to learn how to do it themselves in the future (This has really helped in facilitating the start of capturing stories with key individuals who can help you reach other community members or partners as well as off materials to use for press releases and other marketing materials)

1 Day Event includes 2 Event Coordinators (and their travel & hotel within the State of California) on-site storytelling collection event (Up to 6 stories), post event production and individual & compilation DVD of stories

  • Post-Training Digital Story Station 12-Month Consulting Fee - $750 (Estimated at 15 hours per month at $50 per hour)

Screenings & Exhibitions

With nearly twenty years of film exhibiton and events surrounding our largest annual production, San Diego Latino Film Festival and our community-sensitive Teen Producers Project documentaries, MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO is easily a leader in producing film screenings and exhibitions.  We know how to go beyond simply projecting a film.  We can stylize your event by supplying entertainment, professional hosts, create a dialogue with the audience and connect the event to the Internet to reach audiences beyond those who are in physical attendance.

Annually, we host not only one of the largest Latino Film Festivals in the country but produce events for schools, non-profits, libraries, and government organizations.  Why take on the daunting task in house, we can help save you time and money!
