With all the glamour of our guests and the dramatic voices of our film presentations, it’s easy to forget that the festival is MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO’s largest fundraiser for its year round programming that empowers local youth to use digital media technology. We hope that you will come out to support this program of films written, directed, and produced by our youth.

MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO is proud to present YOUTH VISIONS 2009 – an eclectic array of socially conscious documentaries and experimental shorts from media centers and schools throughout the country. In this program, young filmmakers from New York, Los Angeles and San Diego lend their perspectives to important social issues such as immigration, racism and community violence that are directly affecting their neighborhoods, homes, schools, and lives.
