"Borders on Film" celebrates current documentary and narrative films and filmmakers which are confronting and then working towards crossing physical, cultural, creative, and spiritual borders.  As a unique film festival on the busiest Border in the world, SDLFF recognizes the importance of its' geographical location and will annually dedicate a special showcase to these "Border" works and filmmakers.  Additionally, SDLFF hopes that the 2007 Borders on Film showcase is just the first step in creating a truly bi-national film festival where audiences on both sides of the Border can see all of the works screened at the annual celebration of Latino Cinema.
