What is the Teen Producers Project?
The Teen Producers Project offers a wide variety of programs to suit any media needs, all at the low price of $100 an hour. Workshops are a way to offer hands-on learning to varied size and age groups, and can also be tailored to create unique educational media arts experiences. Film/Video screenings bring the thrill of professional exhibition to an afterschool setting, A discussion & Resource Guide can be made available as well as topics for Films/Videos that will be presented to youth or community based members. Residencies consist of several workshop days and offer an intensive media arts experience and a sequential approach to the study of media arts in connection with your organization's existing after-school program. Lastly we offer Professional Develpoment workshops, which provide a foundation for strengthening media arts experiences and linking the media to other community development activities.
Purpose:
The Teen Producers Project uses media arts to provide underserved students with the educational skills and training necessary to use technology in ways that build academic success, promote better grades & test scores, more meaningful community participation, future employment and potential leadership roles.
Standards:
