In over 35 years of service to low-income communities in San Diego, Roger Cazares proved his dedication to helping others through his leadership of the Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee Project, neighborhood banks, technology foundations, and political coalitions. Coming from humble roots, Roger grew up in the ethnically diverse neighborhoods of Shelltown and National City in a family of 11 children. From his mother's altruism to his father's work as a labor organizer Roger found a passion for justice that guided his work and continues to shape his current efforts to make San Diego a better place for all people.
