| Speaking of her role as Mimí in the 1996 film Efectos secundarios, Alejandra Gollás says their lives paralleled; she also was a successful child actress, and at age 18 circumstances changed the trajectory of her career. Society’s expectation for women may be as wife and mother, says Alejandra, but she sees diverse opportunities possible. A young actress in Quinceañera and El Segundo Aire, now her professional and personal development bring her to Los Angeles. It’s a great opportunity with attention from Hollywood and a role in the film Fidel. Working in English and Spanish she combines two nationalities, enriched by both.
